International motorsport group, KCMotorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) heads to South Korea for the inaugural event of the highly anticipated 2013 Asian Le Mans Series at Inje Speedium on August 324. After recently announcing its driver lineup of Gary Thompson and Akash Nandy for the 3 Hours of Inje, the team confirms British virtuoso James Winslow as KCMG’s third driver for the Asian Le Mans season opener.

Winslow has had an illustrious motorsport career which includes numerous highlights such as victories in Australian and British Formula 3, Formula Renault 3.5 and Asian Formula 3. The British driver has also raced in high level motor racing competitions across the globe, namely, NASCAR Europe, Indy Lights, A1GP and Macau F3. Notably, Winslow has received the distinguished ‘Royal Humane Award’ from Her Majesty the Queen of England after courageously saving the life of a fellow racing driver trapped in burning car at the Sentul Circuit, Indonesia in 2006.

The British driver along with Thompson and Nandy will partner up driving KCMG’s blue and white Morgan-Nissan LMP2 over the course of three hours on Inje’s 4.207km circuit. The race weekend will see three free practice sessions which will take place on Friday afternoon (August 2) and Saturday morning (August 3). Qualifying is set for Saturday afternoon with the 3 Hours of Inje commencing the following day (August 4) at 15h30 local time.

James Winslow, KCMG Asian Le Mans Series Driver: “I am delighted to be joining KCMG in the Asian Le Mans series. I was at the Le Mans 24 hour this year and was very impressed to see them leading the race in only their first year as an LMP2 team. I first met team owner Paul Ip and members of his KCMG team back in 2006 when I raced in Formula 3 and I’m very proud to be joining these guys again in this fantastic team as it grows into a world class outfit. I’m very thankful for this opportunity and looking forward to working with this team’

Paul Ip, KCMG Managing Director: “We are very happy to announce James as our third driver completing our Asian Le Mans line up for the Inje event. We are looking forward to have him represent us in the 3 Hours of Inje. Our crew has been busy preparing for the Asian Le Mans opening event this weekend. Certainly, we are now aiming for victory after our successful sport car endurance outings in Europe early this year.”
