KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) strengthens its LMP2 driver line up as the Chinese squad names Richard Bradley as their second driver in Le Mans 24 Hours and FIA World Endurance Championship this season. The British driver will make his second Le Mans start and will once again share driving duties with compatriot Matt Howson in KCMG’s forthcoming full season assault on the world championship.

After an impressive campaign in 2014, which witnessed KCMG deliver three laudable class victories in WEC, the 23-year-old driver is primed for the team’s latest attempt to yield race-winning results in the French endurance classic and world championship this season. The team is set to roll out a brand new ORECA 05 – the new closed prototype developed by ORECA for the LMP2 class.

Bradley has been part of KCMG’s motorsport division for two consecutive years and represented the Hong Kong-based outfit in the full season of Super Formula in 2013. In the same year, Bradley raced in WEC’s 6 Hours of Fuji with Tsugio Matsuda and Hiroshi Koizumi, and notably, competed in the 3 Hours of Fuji where the team claimed its second victory in the 2013 Asian Le Mans Series.

Richard Bradley: “I’m delighted to continue my relationship with KCMG for this year’s World Endurance Championship and I’m particularly looking forward to making my second start in Le Mans. Having won three races last season, we go into the new season with a strong chance of contending for the LMP2 title, driving the new ORECA 05. 2015 looks very promising and I can’t wait to get started!”

Erich Kolb, KCMG FIA WEC Team Manager: “One of Richard’s strong points as a driver is his pace in the LMP2, which has contributed in major ways to KCMG’s success in 2014. We are delighted to have him once again represent the team alongside Matt at La Sarthe and for the entire season of WEC. 2015 will present new challenges and we are looking forward to conquering each confidently as we transition from the ORECA 03R to the new 05 LMP2.”

Paul Ip, KCMG Founder: “We are pleased to have Richard rejoin our LMP2 program and to continue the strong relationship that we forged back in 2013. Apart from this unwavering commitment, he has been an asset after sharing an Asian Le Mans win and three WEC victories with KCMG for the past two seasons.”
