KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) has confirmed that Dan Wells will represent the Hong Kong-based squad in the upcoming Audi R8 LMS Cup event in South Korea. The fourth event of the Asian sprint race series of the brand with four rings will be held on September 24-25 at Korea International Circuit. The British driver completes KCMG’s line up as he joins Jan Kisiel in South Korea’s 5.615km Grade A track this weekend.

Wells has represented KCMG in a number of motorsport campaigns in the region. In 2012, he was one of the top contenders in Formula Masters China Series (formerly known as Formula Pilota China) and went on to conclude the Asian formula championship in third place, helping KCMG claim the Team Trophy award in 2014. Wells’ success in 2015 was then underlined by a dominant season in Asian Formula Renault where he claimed the championship title and raced in Asian Le Mans Series’ GT Am class alongside Paul Ip and Christian Ried at Sepang International Circuit.

Dan Wells: “I am delighted to be racing for KCMG in the Audi R8 LMS Cup this weekend. I have aspired to be a part of this championship for a long time so I am happy to be making my debut at such a fantastic circuit. I’d like to thank Audi Motorsport Asia, Formula Masters China Series, Paul Ip and KCMG for this opportunity and not to forget, Choctails for their continued support. It’s going to be a great weekend!”
