PABLO SARRAZIN CLAIMS JUNIOR VICTORY AND OVERALL PODIUM IN STELLANTIS MOTORSPORT RALLY CUP FRANCE OPENER AT RALLYE DU TOUQUET

KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin kicked off the 2024 Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup France campaign at the Rallye du Touquet with a Junior class victory and third overall alongside co-driver Geoffrey Combe.

Running as part of the opening round of the French Rally Championship, the Rallye du Touquet got underway in torrential conditions, but Sarrazin produced a superb start to Day 1 on the slippery mud-covered asphalt to be running second, and well in victory contention on board the Peugeot 208 Rally4.

Despite losing around a minute at the end of the opening day, the French youngster quickly closed the gap to the leaders, eventually climbing back to claim a podium, finishing just 36 seconds behind the winner.

Sarrazin will be back in action on 18-20 April for the Rallye Rhône-Charbonnieres, which marks the second round of the 2024 Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup France.

PABLO SARRAZIN

“I’m very happy with the performance of myself, Geoffrey, and the whole team throughout the weekend. We celebrated the Junior class victory and managed to score some big points with third overall. There’s still a long way to go this season, but I’m going to work as hard as I can to score even more points at the next one. A big thank you to everyone at KCMG, whose support has been crucial in my development as a driver.”

GEOFFREY COMBE CO-DRIVER

“We are delighted to begin the season with this great result. The conditions were difficult, but Pablo’s skill was incredible and in the end we finished on the podium, which gave us plenty of points for the championship. We’ll keep working hard ahead of the next round in April.”

EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH

“It’s exciting to see Pablo’s performances across all stages of the Rallye du Touquet event. We knew the whole team was well-prepared and that a strong result would be possible for this first rally of the year. It’s a great way to begin our 2024 season.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

“For Pablo, this first rally of the season was a total unknown, so for him to produce the performance he did made us all proud. He showed great mental fortitude throughout, fighting for the overall victory on the opening day. Then, he was able to deal with the pressure to take the podium in the last stages. We’re looking forward to his next rally and the rest of the season together.”
