PABLO SARRAZIN AIMING FOR FURTHER SUCCESS AT RALLYE RHÔNE-CHARBONNIÈRES

KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin will take on this weekend’s Rallye Rhône-Charbonnières in good spirits, following his two-wheel drive class victory at the Rallye de Causses earlier this month.

The French teenager put in a fantastic performance on gravel in the South of France two weeks ago, but will be returning to the more familiar tarmac surface for Round 2 of the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup France. Sarrazin will be looking to back up a strong Rallye de Touquet showing in Round 1, where he took Junior victory and an overall podium.

First run in 1947, the Rallye Rhône-Charbonnières is one of the country’s flagship rally events, along with being one of the oldest. Covering a total length of over 500-kilometres, Sarrazin and co-driver Geoffrey Combe will have to tackle roads running through small towns, countryside and up mountains as they look to continue their excellent start to 2024.

The three-day event begins on Thursday 18 April, running to Saturday 20 April.

PABLO SARRAZIN

I’m really excited to continue competing in the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup France at the Rallye Rhône-Charbonnières this weekend. The overall goal will be to continue gaining experience, but our recent performances in both the Rallye du Touquet and Rallye de Causses were very encouraging, so we’ll also be looking for a strong result. Geoffrey and I have been testing and feeling good, so I’m excited to get started this week!”

GEOFFREY COMBE CO-DRIVER

“We’ve been working a lot to prepare for this event and we’re ready for the challenge. It’s going to be an important round in terms of the season and we’ll be returning to tarmac, which is a more familiar surface for Pablo. We’ll push hard and look to score big points to keep progressing in the championship battle.”

EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH

“I’m excited to see Pablo back in action in the second round of the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup France. Pablo and Geoffrey are forming a great team and growing as a duo at every event, so we’re confident of another good result.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

After a great start to the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup France and the victory at the Rallye des Causses earlier this month, we’re looking forward to seeing Pablo back in action. Returning to tarmac will challenge him following his recent experience on gravel, but he’s been testing and showing good speed on similar roads recently. This weekend, it’s important for Pablo to continue to learn and avoid making mistakes. Of course, we want to win but we also need to focus on developing as a team and achieving our targets. The Rallye Rhône-Charbonnières is a famous event in France, so it’s a pleasure to see Pablo compete there and best of luck to him and Geoffrey!”
