KCMG turns to Malaysia for Formula Pilota action

KCMG shifts its gaze to Malaysia as the team travels to Kuala Lumpur for the final two events of Formula Pilota this season. As the 5th event of the series takes place on November 3-4, the team represented by British driver Dan Wells heads to Sepang International Circuit with the goal to challenge for the championship lead.

After Formula Pilota’s 4th event in Guangdong, Wells has secured 2nd place in overall standings following Antonio Giovinazzi of Eurasia Motorsport, who currently leads the championship by 20 points. The team is optimistic that with focus and hard work, the championship title is still within reach.

Formula Pilota drivers from teams across the region will be running flat out in one of the most favored circuits by drivers around the world. A popular venue for Formula 1, the 5.54km track designed by German engineer and circuit designer Herman Tilke features 15 turns and is well-known for its sweeping corners and wide straights.

After a month’s recess from the Asian series, Wells is primed to face up to the challenges that the upcoming race weekend has in store for him. “I’m really looking forward to racing on the Sepang circuit. It demands a lot of both car and driver and I know that we will get down to work quickly and make progress. I’m going to give it my all.”

KCMG Deputy Managing Director John O’Hara arrived in Sepang early this week with the team to prepare for the series’ 5th event. With just two events left in the season, O’Hara is looking forward to strong results in Sepang. “The team is happy to be in Malaysia and we are looking forward to a good weekend ahead. It is crucial that we finish strong this weekend as we are down to the last two events of this season. We will be running one car this weekend, but we’re positive that Dan can challenge for wins and secure the series lead.”
