KIDS COM TEAM KCMG ALL SET FOR EPIC TRIPLE-HEADER SEASON FINALE AT SUZUKA

Kids com Team KCMG is ready for an action-packed event this weekend at Suzuka International Racing Course to conclude the 2025 Super Formula campaign, with Round 10 being added to the original schedule of Rounds 11 and 12, following its abandonment at Fuji Speedway last time out.

Nieri Fukuzumi has great memories from the final race of 2024 in the Mie Prefecture, where he picked up a podium to ensure the outfit’s best-ever position in the teams’ standings.

His teammate, Kamui Kobayashi, comes into the weekend in high spirits after securing pole position and victory for Toyota GAZOO Racing in the World Endurance Championship season finale at Bahrain 8 Hours earlier this month.

The squad currently sits sixth in the Teams’ Championship, but can move up as high as fourth if results go their way over the course of the remaining three races in a tightly contested field.

Suzuka Circuit is Japan’s most famous motorsport venue, having hosted 35 Formula 1 Grands Prix, with the 5.807-kilometre layout testing drivers through a variety of challenging corners, including the Esses, Spoon Curve and the famous 130R.

On-track action begins on Friday with Free Practice from 11:05 (UTC+9) local time. Saturday sees Qualifying for Round 11 at 08:00 and Round 12 after at 10:05, before the first race of the weekend gets underway at 14:30. The rescheduled event from Fuji Speedway kicks off Sunday’s action from 09:50, with the grid being formed from the already completed qualifying session. Then the 2025 season concludes at 14:30 with the 12th and final round of the campaign.

#7 KAMUI KOBAYASHI

“It’s going to be a busy weekend for all of us with a triple-header now taking place, following the abandonment of the second race at Fuji Speedway. It’s exciting and a great way to finish off the 2025 Super Formula season! The whole team will work together to do our best in the last three races of the year and put on a show for the fans watching.”

#8 NIREI FUKUZUMI

“Since we couldn’t race at Fuji last time out, we have three rounds for the finale. It’s going to be tough with a tight schedule, but Kamui and I along with the crew will do everything we can to achieve the best performance possible.”

RYUJI DOI KCMG HEAD OF MOTORSPORT

“We’re now into the final week of the season, but so far in 2025 we have only stood on the podium once and not been able to achieve the results we had hoped. However, this weekend at Suzuka represents a unique opportunity with a hectic schedule as the championships hosts a triple-header for the first time. We’ll work together to conclude the season strongly as we aim to maintain last year’s finishing position in the teams’ standings.”
