KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is all set to take on the 24H DUBAI this weekend, in an event that marks Paul Ip’s return to racing after two years away.
Ip will be joined by regular teammates Marchy Lee, Ho-Pin Tung and Andy Yan in the #108 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO “B-Spec” in the TCE-TC category.
Since his last race outing at Okayama International Circuit in GT World Challenge Asia back in 2023, Ip has been tackling a different kind of adventure, flying across the world in 90 days from Alaska to Greece. Aboard his Cirrus SR22T, Ip visited 34 countries and 72 cities, with the documentary series of the trip being uploaded to YouTube.
KCMG has twice competed in the 24H DUBAI, most recently in 2020, when Ip and Yan took a top-10 finish in class in a race which was cut short due to heavy rain. Opened in 2004, the Dubai Autodrome measures 5.39-kilometres and features 17 turns.
Qualifying takes place from 15:55 GST (UTC+4) on Friday afternoon, with the twice-round-the-clock race set to get underway at 13:00 on Saturday.
