KCMG primed for Super Formula challenge at Sugo

NEWS130602-1

KCMG returns to Super Formula’s grid after more than a month’s downtime from the series. After a progressive weekend at Motegi in August, the international motorsport group turns to Sportsland Sugo for the fifth event of Japan’s top tier formula championship on September 28-29.

Richard Bradley is eager to get back on the circuit and produce strong results in his blue and white Swift FN09. The British driver is set to pull out all the stops to challenge for championship points on Sugo’s 3.73km circuit.

The team awaits Super Formula’s next race with renewed determination after a significant breakthrough in the series’ fourth event at Twin Ring Motegi. More so, Bradley aims to maintain and build on the momentum that he gained at Fuji after winning in Asian Le Mans’ second event alongside Hiroshi Koizumi and James Winslow.

Richard Bradley, KCMG Super Formula Driver: “I’m really looking forward to this race at Sugo as it is a track I have done quite well at in the past; having three podiums here in the last 2 years. It will be great to build on the strong showing we had in the Motegi race and the fantastic win we had in the Asian Le Mans Series at Fuji last week. All these factors combined, I am looking forward to having what I believe to be our strongest showing of the year so far.

Ryuji Doi, KCMG Japan General Manager:“We are halfway through the season and the team has worked consistently in developing the car and pushed for more improvements. Sugo will be a new challenge for Richard and the team, but we are ready for it. We have gained our best result so far this season last time at Motegi and our recent win in Asian Le Mans at Fuji has hyped up the team’s confidence!”
