KCMG confirms Dan Wells for Formula Pilota China

Last month, KCMG announced its entry to Formula Pilota China’s 2012 season. In line with this, Dan Wells has been confirmed to represent the team in its first year to run in the international racing series.

The 20-year-old English driver made his mark in the 2011 Formula Renault UK Finals Series, prevailing as Vice Champion as he secured 3 podiums in 6 races.

KCMG’s highly anticipated season in Formula Pilota China is strengthened by signing Wells to the team. Wells will test a Tatuus Formula Abarth FA010 car, powered by a 1400cc turbo engine by Fiat during pre-season testing in Zhuhai International Circuit on April 17-18. Formula Pilota China’s first event, which will kick off Rounds 1-3 of the championship, will be held at Shanghai F1 Circuit on April 28-29.

KCMG’s Team Managing Director, Paul Ip states “We are looking forward to our season in Formula Pilota China, and we are more than pleased to have Dan represent the team. I am confident that we have a very promising season ahead of us.”

The English driver has expressed his delight on the opportunity to take his racing career to Asia. Dan Wells has been quoted, “I am extremely excited by this opportunity. Asia holds so many new challenges and I am sure it is the place for me to be.”
