KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) has announced that Dan Wells will rejoin the team in the second season of Formula Masters China Series this year. The British driver, who finished second in the championship’s invitational race during the prestigious Macau Grand Prix in November, will represent KCMG alongside Matthew Swanepoel and James Munro.

After a brief hiatus from racing last year, Wells took part in Formula Masters final championship event in Shanghai and rounded off the weekend in the Top 5. He went on to compete in the Formula Masters Macau Challenge, where he secured the second spot on the podium for KCMG. This year, the British driver is primed for a full season assault with the Hong Kong-based team in Asia’s top-level junior formula series.

Dan Wells, KCMG Formula Masters Driver: “I’m pleased to be part of KCMG’s latest campaign in Formula Masters this season. A huge amount of effort has gone to make this possible. I would like to thank DWI, KCMG and my sponsors, namely China Translation and Printing Services and The More Card, for their continued support. We are looking forward to the first event in Zhuhai and I’m confident that the team will provide me with a competitive car as we challenge for the Formula Masters crown this year.”

John O’Hara, KCMG Formula Masters Driver: “With Dan joining us for 2014 alongside Matthew and James, we have a very strong line-up. All are potential race winners and I’m very excited about the season ahead. Dan showed us in Macau what he’s capable of and I’m sure we’ll see more strong results from him in Zhuhai next week.”

Formula Masters’ season opener will be held at Zhuhai International Circuit from May 9-11.
