KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) has their eyes set on delivering another strong weekend in Super Formula’s fourth event at Twin Ring Motegi on August 24. The Hong Kong-based team awaits Japan’s premier Formula series’ next race with renewed confidence after Yuichi Nakayama finished in the Top Ten at Fuji Speedway last month.

The 52-lap race will witness Japan’s top drivers compete in one of the most competitive single seater championships in the region. As the series enters its mid-season mark, Nakayama intends to build on the momentum he gained at Fuji Speedway in July.

The Japanese driver is eager to get back in the #18 Dallara SF14 and challenge for championship points on Motegi’s 4.801km road course. Temperatures in Motegi can be exceedingly high at this time of season, but the team is geared for the extreme circuit conditions that lie ahead.

Yuichi Nakayama: “Motegi is a physically demanding track, especially at this time of the season. The race will be very challenging, but I’m confident that we’ll be competitive at this venue as this is a circuit that I’m very familiar with. Our aim is to finish at the front this weekend and I’m looking forward to build on the progress that we made in Fuji.”

Ryuji Doi, KCMG Japan General Manager: “Our performance in the championship’s previous events this year shows how competitive the team is. Yuichi’s efforts have been impressive and we’re confident that he will continue to deliver encouraging results as we enter the second half of the season.”
