SGC by KCMG strive to get the job done in Motegi

SGC by KCMG continued to push forward during the second event of Formula Nippon at Twin Ring Motegi yesterday. The team along with Ryo Orime, arrived at the circuit last Friday with expectations of a progressive weekend.

Orime secured P16 during the qualifying session on Saturday and finished P15 during Race 2 of the Japanese championship, after completing 51 laps despite having understeer issues with the Toyota V8 powered Swift FN09.

The Japanese driver maintained impressive endurance while driving a contemporary car on a tough circuit regardless of his absence in the Formula Nippon scene for six years. Twin Ring Motegi has been considered as one of the most unique circuits in Japan, with Formula Nippon utilizing the 4.8 km road course.

As per KCMG General Manager (Japan) Ryuji Doi, Orime was physically well after completing his second race for the season. He states, “Orime did a good job this afternoon. He has worked hard to be fit in both physical and mental aspects as a race car driver. We are happy that he was able to complete the race and the team is 100% behind him as he advances to further rounds of Formula Nippon.”

The team continues to eye progress and will be back for Round 3 of the Japanese Championship at Autopolis on May 26-27.
