KCMG set for Asian Formula Renault season opener at Zhuhai

KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) will be at the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Spring Race for Asian Formula Renault’s opening event at Zhuhai International Circuit this weekend. The Hong Kong-based team will field one KCMG entry, to be driven by 2014 New South Wales Formula Race Car champion Garnet Patterson and a BlackArts Racing by KCMG car with British driver Dan Wells.

Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Spring Race’s activities highlights Asian Formula Renault’s first event for 2015. Comprised of two rounds, the Asian championship’s season opener will kick off with two free practice sessions on Friday afternoon. Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday morning followed by the series’ first 10-lap race in the afternoon. Race 2 will feature a 12-lap challenge that gets underway on Sunday.

Garnet Patterson: “I’m looking forward to racing the 2.0 Renault at Zhuhai this weekend for KCMG, after a day of testing I’m starting to get used to the car more and I’m hoping we can achieve a good result this weekend.”

Dan Wells: “Although it was a very late deal, I know many of the guys in the team from Formula Masters. I’m happy to be working with Maarten De Busser as my engineer this weekend alongside Gary Thompson as my driver coach. It will be an exciting weekend and I’m looking forward to getting down to business.”
