KCMG in a positive mindset as it heads to Ordos

After a significant maiden podium in Shanghai, KCMG travels to Inner Mongolia for the second event of Formula Pilota China, which will consist of Rounds 4-6 at Ordos International Circuit on July 6 and 7.

The event will take place at the 3.75 km circuit in Ordos which features 18 corners and has hosted several international racing events such as the FIAGT1 World Championship and Superleague Formula.

Dan Wells, who lies 3rd in the series standings will race alongside 15-year-old Malaysian Akash Nandy who was confirmed last week by KCMG to drive in the Ordos event.

KCMG is looking forward to strong results in Ordos after demonstrating potential during the opening event in Shanghai. The two young drivers aim to challenge for podiums in their 1400cc turbo-engined Formula Abarth FA010 cars.

Dan Wells: “I never thought I would be going to a motor race in Mongolia but I am really looking forward to racing on the Ordos circuit. It looks like quite a technical circuit which requires a mechanically well balanced car and from what I’ve seen so far it is a circuit you can really get your teeth into. I’m looking forward to challenging at the front once again.

Akash Nandy: “I am very much looking forward to my debut in Formula Pilota China. I cannot wait to get the car on the circuit and start working with the team. It will be my first time to drive the FA010 on an unfamiliar circuit, but I am up for the challenge and I am confident that Dan and I can deliver more podiums for the team.

KCMG Deputy Managing Director John O’ Hara states, “We are confident that Dan and Akash will be fighting for podiums this weekend. The team has been working hard with the engineers in preparation for Ordos and we are positive that we can deliver strong results.
