KCMG aiming to stay on top in Ordos

KCMG looks ahead to the 3rd event of Formula Pilota China on August 17-18 with hopes to secure continual podium success. The team returns to Ordos International Circuit in Inner Mongolia with Dan Wells and Akash Nandy keen to maintain the championship lead after a successful outing at the same venue early last month.

With two adept drivers fighting for race wins, the team is positive that the odds for victory are very probable. Wells’ impressive drive which resulted in three podiums, as well as Nandy’s successful debut last month gave the team its current advantage in the series.

As the team counts the days to its return to the Ordos grid, Wells and Nandy have been preparing for another intense race weekend around the 3.75km circuit. Hong Kong based British driver, Dan Wells states, “I am really looking forward to returning to Ordos this weekend. I was very happy with how we performed as a team last time out having taken 2 victories and we will be trying to repeat that sort of performance. I’d like to thank Nearly Friday for their continued support and hope to be celebrating the weekend with them once more.”

Malaysian Formula Pilota Rookie, Akash Nandy is also looking forward to his second Ordos outing. He expressed, “I’m very excited to get back in the car. Last month’s results were very motivating so I don’t see any reason why I should not be aiming for victory this time out. I’m happy to be working with the team and to race alongside Dan. We can’t wait until testing begins and to get on the grid for the races!”

Pleased with the results that the team has been producing over recent months, and notably, with Cebu Pacific Air confirming its partnership with the team to support its 2012 Formula Pilota campaign, KCMG Deputy Managing Director John O’ Hara states, “We’ve had a great start to the year and are confident this will continue in Ordos this weekend. The team has prepared very well and we’re in the enviable position that we have two very fast drivers both capable of fighting for victory. We hope to add more victories this weekend.”
