KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) made a promising start to its 2022 N\u00fcrburgring campaign at the opening round of the N\u00fcrburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS), taking third place as the team prepares for the upcoming ADAC TotalEnergies N\u00fcrburgring 24 Hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n Following KCMG\u2019s podium on debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, Dennis Olsen and Josh Burdon were looking to continue the team\u2019s run of success in 2022. Norwegian driver Olsen instantly showed strong pace around the fearsome Nordschleife, moving into the top eight from 14th on the grid during his first stint.<\/p>\n For the duration of the four-hour race, both Olsen and Burdon pushed through the field, passing rivals and displaying great speed to finish third, scoring KCMG\u2019s first-ever podium at the Green Hell.<\/p>\n The team will return to the Nordschleife next Saturday as they take on NLS 2, looking to replicate the success of the first round and continue building towards the 24-hour event at the end of May.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a lot of fun to be back racing on this track. We managed to get a podium from P14 on the grid which is really promising for us going forwards. We still have a lot of work to do as the competition is extremely strong this year. The crew did a great job, and I can\u2019t wait for the next round.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a successful first weekend to begin our N\u00fcrburgring season. The team worked hard over the winter to be ready, so it felt great to score a podium and start the season strongly. We can take plenty of positives from this event and I\u2019m very excited to continue working with KCMG and to keep preparing for the N\u00fcrburgring 24 Hours.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a solid weekend for the team, taking KCMG\u2019s first ever NLS podium was the perfect start as we prepare for the N\u00fcrburgring 24 Hours in May. Dennis and Josh drove strongly, and the whole crew can be proud of keeping up the momentum we built at Daytona. It\u2019s clear we\u2019re feeling good, but our competitors are also working hard so we have to keep improving to be ready for one of hardest endurance races in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe team had a fantastic start to their 2022 N\u00fcrburgring campaign and I\u2019m delighted to see KCMG take its first podium in NLS. It gives us great confidence for the upcoming rounds and for the 24-hour race. Dennis and Josh did brilliantly to come through the field and the car performed strongly around the Nordschleife.
