Kids com Team KCMG will be aiming to continue their points-scoring streak as Super Formula heads to Mobility Resort Motegi for Round 5 of the 2024 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The squad\u2019s confidence is high, following a strong performance last time out at Fuji Speedway, where Nirei Fukuzumi clinched the team\u2019s first pole position in the series. He would challenge for the podium, eventually taking fourth, while teammate Kamui Kobayashi secured his third consecutive top-10 result in eighth.<\/p>\n

Kids com Team KCMG secured a solid result last year at Motegi, clinching a double-points finish. The event is set to be the final single-race weekend of the campaign, with only double-headers at Fuji Speedway and Suzuka Circuit to follow.<\/p>\n

Formerly known as Twin Ring Motegi due to having both an oval and road course, the 4.8-kilometre track is a regular on the calendar, with Japan\u2019s premier single-seater championship visiting the Tochigi-prefecture circuit every year since 1997. The layout features several fast, sweeping curves, with overtaking most likely into Turn 11, following the long back straight.<\/p>\n

#7 KAMUI KOBAYASHI<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cMotegi is a circuit I\u2019m comfortable with and it\u2019s one I enjoy racing on, so I\u2019m looking to do my best for the team and fight at the front. We\u2019ve developed the car well so far this year, and although the temperature is set to be high this weekend, I\u2019m feeling good about the race.\u201d<\/p>\n

#8 NIREI FUKUZUMI<\/strong><\/h4>\n

“I\u2019m all set for Round 5 of the 2024 season at Motegi, where we will look to build on the positive performance last time out. It will be hot, but we had similar weather at Fuji Speedway so we will look for the same again. I\u2019m excited to see all the fans at Motegi!\u201d<\/p>\n

RYUJI DOI<\/strong> KCMG HEAD OF MOTORSPORT<\/h4>\n

\u201cDuring the previous event at Fuji, we took our first pole position and were hoping for victory, but unfortunately it didn\u2019t quite work out. We\u2019ve analysed our performance and worked out what we can do better, so we\u2019re looking forward to being back and eliminating mistakes. Our target is to build on what we did at Fuji and once again challenge for the podium with both cars.\u201d<\/p>\n
