KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is eyeing to claim home glory as the FIA World Endurance Championship\u2019s (WEC) sixth event kicks into high gear at Shanghai International Circuit on October 31. In the midst of their first full season competing in WEC, the Chinese squad currently lies third in the LMP2 Team Classification, with four podiums including a win at the Circuit of The Americas.<\/strong><\/p>\n Following a strong showing that resulted in a top two-finish at Fuji last month, KCMG is primed to compete in its maiden World Championship outing on home soil. The 6 Hours of Shanghai will witness Richard Bradley, Matt Howson and Alexandre Imperatori team up to share the Dunlop-shod #47 Oreca 03R \u2013 Nissan; this time, to challenge for LMP2 victory in front of Chinese fans.<\/p>\n WEC\u2019s forthcoming six-hour affair on KCMG\u2019s home turf is a challenge that the team is eagerly looking forward to. Anticipation builds as the competition in the LMP2 class get more intense, with seven cars set to battle it out on Shanghai\u2019s technically demanding 4.541km circuit this weekend.<\/p>\n Richard Bradley:<\/strong> \u201cTo represent China in a World Championship event on home soil is massive. We have had a good run so far in WEC. To finish on the podium in every race except for Le Mans and to top it off with a win in Texas was special. It is evidence of how the efforts of everyone involved have paid off. The next step is to take victory at home in Shanghai.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Matt Howson:<\/strong> \u201cFor KCMG to make its first appearance in a World Championship race in China is hugely significant. It is a massive team effort and a true story of loyalty and commitment. Four podiums including one win so far in our first full season in WEC is a testament to the team\u2019s unyielding determination to succeed. We will be strong in Shanghai after our post-race analysis from Japan, so expect another six-hour cliffhanger in the LMP2 class.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Alexandre Imperatori:<\/strong> \u201cIt is fantastic for the team to compete in our home circuit. It will be great to count on the support of the local fans and it gives us extra motivation to perform well.
