KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) has confirmed that Yuichi Nakayama will once again represent the team in its forthcoming 2015 assault on Super Formula. The official announcement was made today during the Toyota Motor Sports Launch, which was held at Mega Web Toyota City in Tokyo.

After a promising maiden season in the premier Japanese Formula series, the 2013 All-Japan Formula 3 champion is looking forward to being back in KCMG Elyse’s blue and white Toyota-powered Dallara SF14.

While Super Formula’s first event will not be held until April 12, Nakayama is already set for the series’ string of pre-season tests at Suzuka Circuit and Okayama International Circuit in March.

Yuichi Nakayama: “It’s a great honour to once again represent KCMG in Super Formula! We had an encouraging season last year and I look forward to working with the entire crew again. Apart from the data that we’ve collected from our campaign in 2014, we also did some post-season work together in Okayama, which provides helpful data for 2015. I’m eager to deliver better results this year! I’d like to extend my gratitude to Paul Ip and Ryuji Doi for once again giving me this opportunity to compete in one of Japan’s most competitive championships, and most especially to Toyota for their continued support!”

Ryuji Doi, Head of KCMG Motorsport: “We’re pleased to have Yuichi represent us in Super Formula for two straight years! The impressive skill and pace that he has displayed during his maiden season proves that he is one of the young Japanese drivers to watch. The entire team is looking forward to another exciting season and with Yuichi in the car, we’re keen to deliver strong results in 2015!”
