KCMG will be aiming to complete plenty of laps around Fuji Speedway on 30 June – 1 July as SUPER FORMULA stages its 2026 mid-season test.
Kenta Yamashita will continue for the Hong Kong outfit. He enjoyed his latest visit to Shizuoka Prefecture in May, as the current SUPER GT500 champion claimed victory there, maintaining his strong record at the circuit.
His teammate for the test will be Giuliano Alesi, who is a SUPER FORMULA race-winner and has multiple successes in the SUPER GT500 category over his time in the series.
Yamashita and Alesi will take on sessions in both the #8 and #9 cars throughout the two days of testing, which will be crucial for the remainder of the 2026 campaign, with five of the final eight races taking place at the circuit, with a triple-header in July and a double-header in October.
Located in the foothills of Mount Fuji, the circuit’s main feature is one of the longest straights in motorsport, at a length of 1.475 km, before a technical lap follows which will test the drivers throughout.
The schedule sees on-track action take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, with both days having two sessions lasting two hours each, starting at 09:30 and 14:30 respectively.
