KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) made a great start in their Japanese F3 campaign after Ryosuke Takehira secured three podium finishes at Twin Ring Motegi last weekend. This feat has placed Takehira as one of the top contenders in the championship this season.

The Japanese driver demonstrated inherent talent as he skillfully drove theToyota Dallara, finishing in 4th and 3rd positions during the qualifying sessions.  With no prior experience in driving an F3 car, his innate ability on the circuit was further recognized as he set fastest laps in wet conditions and took 3rd position during Race 1.

The team came back the following morning with an objective to gain more points and to progress further in the weekend. This time, in dry conditions, Takehira maintained an impressive performance as he completed Race 2 with another podium by finishing in 2nd place.

The Japanese driver’s adept level of car control was once again tested as he competed on used tyres during Race 3. Starting 2nd on the grid, Takehira moved to 1st place after an amazing start but lost his position to Takabishi and Nanin. Takehira wrapped up his final race in 3rd position which gained the team another podium.

Takehira states that three podiums in his JF3 debut is a result that he is extremely proud of. “Being able to race in JF3 with KCMG is such a great experience for me. I’m pleased with the results that we delivered over the weekend and I look forward to competing in the series and to contend for the championship title.Lastly, I want to say thank you to everyone who supported me in Motegi!

KCMG Japan General Manager Ryuji Doi is also pleased with his team and Takehira’s performance.  Doi-san expressed that he is very impressed with the Japanese driver’s accomplishment over the weekend. “The KCMG JF3 team, especially Takehira, did a good job in Motegi. Delivering three podiums in his maiden JF3 outing is a great achievement and I believe that his potential is much greater than what he has shown us over the weekend. I hope that we can continually work with him in our JF3 campaign this season.
