KCMG to join Formula Pilota China’s Grids

It is poised to be an interesting and hectic year for KCMG, as the team reveals its entry to Formula Pilota China’s upcoming 2012 Championship season. KCMG will run two Italian-manufactured Tatuus Formula Abarth FA010 cars powered by 1400cc turbo engines by Fiat.

The international racing series, which was established last March 2011, following the successful Formula Abarth series in Europe, provides a venue and an amazing opportunity for aspiring young drivers from all over the world to further develop their career in Formula racing cars.

Notably, the championship grants a four day evaluation at the prestigious Ferrari Driver Academy to the Over-all and Asian Driver Class Champions. This distinctly opens a door to higher disciplines in Formula Racing.

Formula Pilota China has released its provisional calendar for the upcoming 2012 season, covering eighteen races over six events across China, Taiwan and Malaysia. The opening event, which shall kick off Rounds 1-3 of the series, will be held at the famed Shanghai F1 Circuit in China on April 28 and 29.

KCMG Managing Director Paul Ip states, “We are very much looking forward to our first season in the Formula Pilota China series. Our entry in this series further compliments our existing programs in Japanese Formula 3 and Formula Nippon and we look forward to our successful drivers stepping up to our Formula 3 team in 2013.”

KCMG offers attractive packages which includes subsidized drives for potential winners. Interested parties may contact joh@kcmg.com.hk.
