KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) would like to congratulate WEC Team Manager Maarten De Busser on the forthcoming arrival of his first child this fall. As the FIA World Endurance Championship heads into the second half of the 2014 season, the series will travel extensively across North and South America, Asia and the Middle East. Since the continuous trekking coincides with the most critical phase of his wife’s pregnancy, De Busser has elected a deputy who will take on his role after the 6 Hours of CoTA.

The Hong Kong-based outfit is pleased to announce that Erich Kolb will officially join KCMG as De Busser’s second-in-command in its WEC campaign starting in October at Fuji Speedway. The German engineer, who also managed Swiss Racing Team’s campaigns in German Formula 3, Formula 3 Euroseries and FIA GT1 World Championship in the past, will assume De Busser’s duties during the Team Manager’s absence in the remaining rounds of the World Championship.

De Busser will continue as KCMG’s WEC Team Manager and will remotely manage the Hong Kong-based squad’s LMP2 campaign with Kolb’s reinforcement.
