Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG returns to China this week with an aim to extend their advantage in Formula Masters China Series’ Team and Drivers’ Classification. Represented by James Munro and Dan Wells, the Hong Kong-based outfit currently leads the championship by 61 points.

Comprised of four races, Formula Masters China Series’ fifth and penultimate event of the season will be held as part of the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival at Zhuhai International Circuit from September 19-21. Series leader James Munro is set to get back to winning ways on Zhuhai’s 4.319 km circuit – a venue where he outstandingly clinched three successive victories during his maiden Formula Masters outing in May.

Following a promising F3 debut at Brands Hatch last month, Dan Wells is geared to challenge for race wins in the premier Asian single seater series this weekend. The British driver has been consistently on the podium and currently sits third in the Driver rankings with 101 points.

Qualifying for Races 13 and 15 will get underway on Friday morning, followed by the 12-lap Race 13 later in the afternoon. Saturday will host Races 14 (7 laps) and 15 (12 laps), while the rescheduled Race 3 will be held on Sunday.

With two events remaining on the series’ 2014 calendar, Munro and Wells’ efforts in the forthcoming races will be edged towards sealing the championship crown with Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG.

James Munro: “This time we’re going back to a track I know, which will make my job a lot easier this weekend. We were very strong here in testing and during the first event earlier this year. So we stand a good chance of returning to our winning ways.”

Dan Wells: “I’m pleased to be back with KCMG this weekend in Formula Masters. I’d like to thank my new sponsor www.carbroso.com for their support this weekend and looking forward to the four races at Zhuhai.”

John O’Hara, KCMG Deputy Managing Director: “We are almost at the end of the 2014 campaign and so far, the team has been consistently on top of the leaderboard. We faced several challenges at Inje and Sepang, but we’ve taken the positives from those outings. Our focus now is to move forward and achieve our ultimate goal this season, which is the championship title.”
