KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) shifts their gaze back to the Land of the Rising Sun for the start of Super Formula and All-Japan Formula 3’s 2015 season. The Hong Kong-based squad is keen to begin two of its primary Japanese campaigns on a high note as both championships’ opening rounds take place at Suzuka Circuit this weekend.

The Hong Kong-based squad is confident of a strong showing at the celebrated Japanese F1 circuit following Yuichi Nakayama’s encouraging performance in the #18 Toyota-powered KCMG Elyse SF14, as well as British driver Struan Moore’s display of competitive pace in the #19 Dallara F312, during their respective pre-season tests early this year.

As this new challenge for KCMG’s Japan Motorsport Division officially begins this weekend, Nakayama is ready to take on the first of Super Formula’s seven rounds across Japan, while Moore is looking forward to his maiden JF3 race outing in the Far East.

Yuichi Nakayama: “We’ve had two productive pre-season tests and the data garnered during those outings allows us to be confident that we can deliver positive results at Suzuka. Super Formula underlines the most competitive field in Japanese motorsport, but I have a good team behind me and we’ll do our best to finish strong at each round this season. I’m excited to see all our fans again and looking forward to a great race this weekend.”

Struan Moore: “I’ll soon be back in Tokyo for the first Round of the 2015 Japanese F3 Championship at Suzuka. Overall, I’m happy with the pre-season work completed by the team and myself. It’s been a long month knuckling down but worthwhile in getting up to speed to maximize a strong debut weekend. I’m keen to get back to Suzuka, it’s an incredible track to drive and very demanding! I’d like to qualify high up the grid and maintain position throughout both races as only the top 6 places receive points. I feel if we can hit that target in the first round then it will be a successful weekend.”

Ryuji Doi, KCMG Head of Motorsport: “This week signals the start of an exciting season for KCMG in Super Formula and Japanese Formula 3. We have two talented drivers who will represent us in the premier platforms of motorsport in the country and we are looking forward to complete both championship’s opening events with top results.”
