Kids com Team KCMG has confirmed three drivers for the Super Formula post-season test at Suzuka International Racing Course on 10-12 December, with two-time World Rally Champion Kalle Rovanperä driving for the squad.
The Finn won the World Rally Championship title in both 2022 and 2023 with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, as well as clinching third in the most recent edition of the championship. In October, the 25-year-old announced his switch to single-seater racing and will test across all three days for the outfit.
He’ll be joined by Kenta Yamashita on Wednesday and Thursday at Suzuka. The Japanese driver is the current Super GT champion, having claimed back-to-back honours to go with his 2019 success in the GT500 category.
He has competed in Super Formula for the past nine seasons so his knowledge of the machinery will be vital in helping the team extract plenty of meaningful data from this test.
Kids com Team KCMG also welcomes Tokiya Suzuki for the third and final day of the post-season test. The 19-year-old enjoyed a successful 2025 season, winning the F4 Japanese Championship as well as finishing runner-up in the Formula Regional Japan Championship.
On-track action kicks off on Wednesday with the first session at 09:00 (UTC+9) local time before the afternoon’s running starts at 13:45. Thursday mirrors the opening day with identical timings, while Friday starts slightly later at 10:00 and the sixth and final session takes place at 14:00.
KALLE ROVANPERÄ
“I’m looking forward to kicking off my Super Formula career at the post-season test with Kids com Team KCMG. It’s going to be challenging with a lot to learn, but I’m excited by this move and can’t wait to get started.”

KENTA YAMASHITA
“The test is a great chance to work with a new team, which is something that I haven’t done throughout my time in Super Formula. I’m hopeful that my experience in the championship can help the squad gain vital information across the days at Suzuka.”

TOKIYA SUZUKI
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to drive Super Formula machinery for the first time in my career. I’m looking forward to it and would like to thank everyone at Toyota for providing me with this great experience. My aim is to get a feel for the car as I aim to showcase my abilities and help the team collect valuable data.”

RYUJI DOI KCMG HEAD OF MOTORSPORT
“This test acts as a perfect chance to begin our 2026 preparations immediately in Suzuka. This will be the first time that all the drivers have worked with us at Kids com Team KCMG, but we believe they are fully prepared for the three days. Our rookies, Kalle and Tokiya, are looking to get as much mileage as possible in Super Formula machinery, while Kenta will allow us to fine-tune the settings on the car. We’re looking forward to this opportunity and will do our best to ultimately top the timesheets.”
