KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) and Hankook, the leading tire manufacturer in Korea, have partnered to support the Macau Touring Car Series, by presenting the Hankook Trophy by KCMG this season.
KCMG has been the exclusive distributor of Hankook competition tires in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau since 2010. The Hankook Trophy by KCMG will be the two companies’ newest collaboration.
The Macau Touring Car Series qualifies successful drivers to compete in the touring car races at the world famous Macau Grand Prix in November. The opening event will be held at Guangdong International Circuit in China on April 28-29.
The Hankook Trophy by KCMG will award a monetary prize totaling to $200,000HKD which will be divided among the Top 3 drivers in each class.
KCMG’s Deputy Managing Director John O’Hara expressed that he is pleased with this new collaboration to support the 2012 season of Macau Touring Car Series. He states, “As a partner of Hankook Tires for a number of years now, I am very satisfied to offer our support to the Macau Touring Car Series. It is our aim to encourage drivers to use the best competition tires that are currently available in the market.”
