SGC by KCMG pushes forward after challenging weekend in Suzuka

SGC by KCMG had a tough weekend after grappling with unpredictable weather conditions during Formula Nippon’s opening race in Suzuka.

It was a difficult race weekend for Ryo Orime as intermittent weather loomed on the circuit. The Japanese driver, who has been driving in Japanese Super GT series during his six year hiatus from Formula Nippon, was undeterred by these challenging conditions and came back stronger during the second day of the event.

Orime managed to improve pace during warm up session a few hours before the championship’s inaugural race. The Japanese driver finished P17 after having to pit on Lap 1 from contact with Daisuke Nakajima.

SGC by KCMG moves forward as the team starts its preparations for the second round of the competitive Japanese series in Twin Ring Motegi next month.

KCMG Japan General Manager Ryuji Doi states, “The team is committed to helping Orime-san get comfortably reacquainted in driving a contemporary car on Formula Nippon’s circuits. We are working to improve the car’s performance and we are looking ahead to a better race in Motegi.”
